To Celebrate Morgan Droll Photography turning 10 in 2026, I am bringing back the MDP Rep Search! The 2026 MDP Rep Search will be open from June 1st - July 17 at 11pm CST.
What is an MDP Rep?
An MDP Rep (Morgan Droll Photography Representative) is Morgan’s version of an ambassador. An MDP Rep is a dancer that actively supports and promotes Morgan Droll Photography. This includes regularly posting MDP photos, sharing travel dates and other special photoshoots, and encouraging others to book sessions with MDP!
What perks are there to being an MDP Rep?
There are several perks to being an MDP Rep including, discounted sessions, exclusive MDP merch, invitations to Rep Only shoots and MDP REP WKND, and so many more.
Are there costs associated with being an MDP Rep?
There is no initial cost to be an MDP Rep. There may be fees in times where travel is necessary, or entry fees are required for locations. Any additional sessions booked throughout the year also come at a discounted fee.
Do I have to have worked with MDP in order to be considered?
YES! For this round of applications, all applicants must have worked with MDP between July 2025-July 2026. It is important to me that we have worked together to make sure that we would be a good fit!
Do you require my account to be public and/or have a certain number of followers?
No. The quality of followers is more important than the quantity of followers. Your account does not have to be public, but all dancers must have their own account that is preferably run by or moderated by a parent/guardian.
I’m already an ambassador for another photographer, is that okay?
Oklahoma MDP Reps cannot be ambassadors for other photographers. Reps outside of Oklahoma can be ambassadors for other photographers as long as they live in the same state as that photographer. All reps can work with other photographers. (If currently representing another photographer, please make sure that they do not have rules against representing other photographers!)
Is there an age limit or requirement to be an MDP Rep?
There is not an age limit to be a rep. Incoming MDP Reps must be at least 7 years old. (My current Rep team ages range from 8-19)
Do I need to be a dancewear ambassador to be an MDP Rep?
Absolutely not! It’s not a requirement. The majority of the current reps are not ambassadors for any dancewear brands.
Are you only taking new reps from specific states?
No. I always go into Rep searches with an open mind. I currently have MDP Reps in 13 states and 1 Rep from Canada! I do travel to a lot of the same areas every year, so bonus if you’re in that area. BUT I am always looking to expand the travel areas!
Is there any travel required?
You can travel as much or as little as you want. It truly depends on how much YOU want out of the experience. I try to make it to each MDP Rep’s area at least once a year. Sometimes it’s more if it's an area that I consistently book and sell out. However if a city does not book well, I might have to cancel or reschedule the trip.
I’ve applied before and wasn’t accepted, can I apply again?
Absolutely! Considering I haven’t done an actual search since December 2024, everyone has a fresh slate!
Who is the ideal MDP Rep?
The ideal MDP Rep is someone kind, humble, genuine, creative, and supportive. I have dancers spread across the country, but when we all get together it is like a family reunion. I don’t put up with drama. I want my MDP Rep Fam to be a warm and welcoming group no matter where you're from, what studio you dance at, or how many awards you have won. I look for people who are willing to try new things, get creative, accept the challenges that are thrown at them, and be a solid team player!
When will new Reps be announced?
The Rep Search will conclude July 17th. I hope to have the new Reps selected, and notified in time for an August 1st announcement!
You require a headshot and a dance photo to be submitted with my application. Do they have to be photos that you have taken?
I would prefer the dance photo to be one that I have taken. However if you have not received your gallery back from me when you submit your application, you can submit a different photo. Headshots do not have to be a professional headshot or one that I have taken. Dance photos and headshots MUST be emailed to [email protected] no later than July 18th at 9am Eastern Time. Any applications submitted without a headshot or dance photo will not be considered.
